PRESS FIT BUSHINGS:
Designated as type P, are the least expensive and most popular
bushings. Generally used in single step drilling. Pressed
flush in the fixture plate they can be spaced closer together
than other types of bushings. Available as unground with additional
outside diameter stock. |

HEAD PRESS FIT BUSHINGS:
Designated as type H, they can accept heavier axial loads
than type P bushings whether mounted with the head above the
fixture plate or recessed into the fixture. Also available
as unground with additional outside diameter stock. |

SLIP/FIXED
RENEWABLE BUSHINGS:
Designated as type SF, these bushings are mostly used when
the number of holes drilled will be greater than the expected
life of the bushing. Type SF is also used when a hole is drilled,
then a reaming or tapping operation is required. By slipping
the bushing out of the liner anther size may; be installed
for the next operation to be performed. Clamps or lock screws
are used to secure them in the fixture. |

FIXED
RENEWABLE BUSHINGS:
Designated as type FM, these bushings are mostly used when
the number of holes drilled will be greater than the expected
life of the bushing. By slipping the bushing out of the liner
another size may be installed for the next operation to be
performed. Clamps or lock screws are used to secure them in
the fixture. |

LINER
BUSHINGS:
Designated as type L, are similar to press fit type bushings
but are pressed in the fixture to maintain precise location
for the slip fixed bushings. Their hardened condition protects
the fixture form the wear of repeated bushing replacement.
These parts may be ordered as unground when extra outside
diameter stock is needed. |

HEAD
LINER BUSHINGS:
Designated as type HL, is used when excessive axial loads
or pounding would dislodge the headless liner. Type HL may
be used with the head projected above the fixture or countersunk
flush with the top surface of the fixture. HL bushings are
available with extra stock on the outside diameter when necessary,
and ordered as unground. Length is measured overall including
head. |

UNILOCK
LINERS:
Type UL is similar to the head liner with the additional
feature of a locking lip projecting up to replace the necessity
of drilling, tapping and use of a lock screw when using slip/fixed
bushings. |

EZ
CAST LINERS:
Designated type EZ-L, this type liner has the lock screw
positioned for slip fixed bushing use in fiberglass, laminated
or similar type fixturing. The EZ-L is positioned, then held
in place with epoxy or similar potting compound. |

Known as type SP. These bushings have half length oversize
serrations for extra holding capabilities in aluminum, masonite
or wood fixtures. |

DIAMOND
GROOVE BUSHINGS:
Designated as type DG, these bushings may be sued in a cast
or potting application or pressed into soft fixturing such
as laminates or acrylics. This diamond knurled type holds
better when axial and rotational forces exist. |

or potting application or pressed into soft fixturing such
as laminates or acrylics. |

TEMPLATE
BUSHINGS:
Type TB bushings are for light weight fixturing whose thicknesses
range from 1/16 to 3/8 inch thick. They have serrations to
add resistance to rotational forces and an aluminum ring to
clamp it firmly to the template. |

DIRECTED
COOLANT BUSHINGS:
Specially designed for heavy drilling needing coolant to
flush the chips away from the drill and work piece. These
slip type bushings with coolant hole liners ensure coolant
flow directly on the drill without the inconvenience of flexible
lines. Add DC after the ANSI code. Example: SF 48 -16 DC 1/2" |

DIRECTED
COOLANT LINERS:
For use with directed coolant bushings. They are available
as headless or with heads, and should be ordered the same
length as the bushings to work properly. Add DC after the
ANSI code. Example: L-64-16 DC. |

GUN
DRILL BUSHINGS:
Used in gun drilling machines such as EL Dorado, DeHoff and
Drillmation. Some machines use an SF type with an insert.
Designated GDI for the inserts and GDL for the liner holding
the insert. Other types of one piece construction are GDB
liner and insert as one piece. DGDB deep hole gun drill bushings
have a long guide projecting beyond the chip box. Type GDH
is for the DeHoff machine with the insert at the end opposite
the head. |
